The Tony award-winning production is heading north so that means Canadian wizards will get a chance to see all the magic up-close.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will make its Canadian debut next fall, according to Mirvish Productions. The popular play, written by Jack Thorne and based on a new story by J.K. Rowling herself and John Tiffany, follows an adult Harry, a busy father of three who works at the Ministry of Magic, and whose youngest son Albus has to contend with living in his father’s shadow at Hogwarts. Prepare for some grown-up truths, Potterheads.
Cursed Child is the first official HP story to make its way to the stage and represents the eighth tale in the overall Potter series.
The hit play first bowed in London in 2016, then went to Broadway last year where it was a major success at the box office and beyond, including racking up six Tonys.
Dates and ticket information have yet to be announced.
