John Hughes’ beloved Christmas classic Home Alone celebrates its 25th anniversary this month, and in honour of the film’s landmark year, Kevin McCallister is making a comeback. But this time it will be in 2D. Sorry Macaulay Culkin!

The folks at 20th Century Fox and Quirk Books just announced that they have turned Home Alone into a festive picture book for a new generation of young readers.

Parents can now allow their kids to experience an illustrated rendition of Kevin McCallister’s classic misadventures after being left home alone by his family during the holidays and having to defend his house against bumbling burglars Harry and Marv.

The picture book adaptation is 40-pages long and is intended for children 4-8 years of age. That means it’ll make a great way to share the story with kids until they are old enough to witness Kevin tormenting ‘The Wet Bandits’ on DVD.
