UPDATE Feb. 19 — We’ve hit a new low.

We’re not sure which network in their right mind would pick this up, but the latest fodder reports that producers are now shopping around a potential Mama June-centred molestation show.

Yep, you read that right. Producers are looking for someone (TLC or potentially otherwise) to air another Honey Boo Boo show, one that features the accusations of molestation as a major story arc. So much for Mama June, her ex, Chickadee and the rest of the Go-Go Juice clan.

Reportedly, the new show would also feature Mama June and her ex Sugar Bear (Honey Boo Boo’s father) getting back together and attempting to co-parent.

Because that sounds like exactly what these kids need, doesn’t it?

Now back to your regularly scheduled days…

Update — just when you think this story couldn’t get any darker, four more revelations have come to light:

– Sugar Bear’s ex-wife is now saying that Mama June tried to kill herself by overdosing on Tylenol or Advil while pregnant with Honey Boo Boo.

– Mama June revealed in an interview that an entirely different sex offender fathered her first two children.

– Honey Boo Boo’s uncle has gone on record that he will fight for custody of his niece.

– Meanwhile, Mama June filmed a cameo on the upcoming Dumb & Dumber To movie, which hits theatres Friday.

Not only are the days of Go-Go Juice, Sketti and Fritto feet officially ending now that the controversial TLC series, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has been cancelled, but the story just took an even darker twist.

The series was officially canned on Friday afternoon for a reason that’s actually more divisive that the reality show itself. “Mama” June Shannon, who recently split from hubby Sugar Bear, is now reportedly back with her ex, Mark McDaniel. The problem? Dude is a convicted child sex offender, and Mama June has half a dozen kiddies running around the house.

And you thought hunting for road kill, cuppa farts wrestling moves and Vajingle Jangles were bad.

It gets worse. Not only was McDaniel convicted for molesting a child, he was convicted for molesting June’s daughter Anna Shannon Cardwell. The 20-year-old admitted to RadarOnline that she was a victim of assault in 2002 and 2003, and that she’s hurt by her mother’s recent actions.

“I think me and Mama’s relationship may well be over,” she said in an interview.

Cardwell, along with McDaniel’s family refused to redneckognize Shannon and McDaniel as a couple after TMZ reported the news, saying that they hadn’t been together in 10 years. Cardwell later went back on her statement, revealing that she does indeed now believe her mother and McDaniel were seeing each other and hanging out together.

“I’m hurt,” she added.

Whether McDaniel is seeing June or not, the reports apparently caused enough concern for TLC, the network that airs the series, to stand up and take notice.

A new season of the show has been shot, but according to TMZ the network won’t air it. In a statement to press on Friday, TLC publicity confirmed that the Toddlers & Tiaras spinoff was dead.

“TLC has cancelled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately,” the network said. “Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being.”

Here’s hoping.
