How COVID-19 is impacting Persian New Year celebrations

The Persian New Year, or Nowruz, happened on March 19 at 11:49 p.m. It's normally a large celebration with streams of people visiting each other, but this year, because of COVID-19 restrictions, it's quite different.Samira Mohyeddin is an Iranian restaurant owner, and she spoke about the impact on business as well as the Persian New Year from the virus. Family gatherings are being scaled back and festivals are moving online as people keep up their social distancing during the pandemic.
