First thing’s first, do you clean your makeup brushes? If this were an airport Howard Johnson conference room, we’re certain we’d only see a few hands raised, followed by some slow – and lying – hands picking up the rear. But don’t fret, we get it. It’s kind of annoying, right? If you have to use them every day, shouldn’t they kind of do everything you want them to do? Including be clean?

Well, that’s really wishful thinking considering that most things in our lives aren’t self-cleaning.  And no, sorry, but the answer is not robot maids, either (yet).

The real solution is simple. If you make it as easy a process as possible, it won’t feel like a horrid chore. And really, you want them to be clean, because dirty brushes contribute to acne breakouts, and in some cases, herpes and pink eye

Oh, now we’ve got your attention? Good. To clean your makeup brushes, all you need is dish soap, olive oil and a plate. Watch the video above to see how it’s done! We don’t think you’ll ever have dirty brushes again.
