If you think you need an entire gym in your basement to get in a decent workout at home, think again. Fitness and wellness expert Heather Wilson-Phillips says you just need one piece of equipment to work out your entire body, and that piece of equipment is a dumbbell.All of the exercises below can be done using just one dumbbell, and the exercises will help build some muscle and workout the entire body.
ONE-HAND DUMBBELL DEADLIFT SHOULDER PRESS
- Start down low in a deadlift position with the dumbbell on the ground
- Pick up the dumbbell with one hand and then press the dumbbell over your head
- Repeat
CURTSY LUNGE BICEP CURL
- Start with dumbbell in your hand
- Lunge behind and to the side and do a bicep curl at the same time

CHEST PRESS CRUNCH
- Lay on your back with hands on one dumbbell
- Press the dumbbell up towards the ceiling and crunch up at the same time
RENEGADE ROW
- Start in a high plank
- Put one hand on the dumbbell while the other hand is on the floor
- Row up with the dumbbell
- Set down and repeat on the other side
