This week, just about everything that could have happened on this week’s How To Get Away With Murder happened. Dead characters came back to life, addictions were revealed, lies were uncovered, and we finally found out who was behind the killer posters. It was Simon Drake. He’s the worst.

A lot of information was revealed during this week’s show and now we need to make sense of it all. Let’s take it character-by-character.

Frank

Sam’s ghost showed up and gave us some insight into Frank’s former life. We learned that when Frank was 13, he tried to kill his father, which explains why his dad is now in a wheelchair. Sam was referred to Frank’s case and with his eligibility for parole approaching, Sam and Annalise both got involved and help get Frank out of jail.

Bonnie

Fast forward to present-Frank and from what we can tell it looks like he killed Bonnie’s father to get her attention. It worked and the two spend a night in a hotel, with Frank’s suggestion that they run away together being the exact thing Bonnie wanted to hear. Bonnie asks Frank why he killed Mahoney with Wes inches away, and Frank doesn’t really answer, leaving that head-scratcher still on the table. Bonnie urges Frank to come home with her and apologize to Annalise, but he knows that a woman who hired a hitman to kill him probably isn’t ready to forgive and forget quite yet. Instead, Bonnie and Frank have sex, with Frank pulling a trademark Frank move and running off in the morning, leaving Bonnie in a ball of tears. Can something good happen to Bonnie? She needs a win.

Laurel

Frank may not remember Laurel, but we do, and she got *this* close to keeping Bonnie’s location a secret, but let it slip to Wes after he told her he was thinking of breaking up with Meggie. Wes convinces Laurel to tell Annalise the truth about Frank and she does, with Bonnie walking in just as Laurel is outing her.

Annalise

Annalise is working to get her license and class back and that means throwing out (almost) all her booze and attending her first AA meeting, which was also attended by President Hargrove. Annalise breaks just about every rule of AA and demands that Hargove reinstate her as professor or she’ll sue. Doesn’t Annalise teach this class for free? Maybe she should focus on getting her practice back first, since it actually pays her.

This week featured a number of flashbacks, which shed light on the struggle Annalise and Sam had trying to conceive. While we never doubted how devastated Annalise was to lose her child, her difficulties conceiving show that the baby Frank killed was essentially her only shot at carrying a child to full term.

With the news that Frank is back and that Simon Drake has been behind the ‘killer’ posters, Annalise has been given a new purpose, which means sh*t’s about to get real.

Season 3 of How To Get Away With Murder is building towards a fire at Annalise’s house that claims the life of one character. Each episode will conclude with one or more characters being crossed off dead body list, with Michaela and her southern mama as this week’s reveal. We also learned that the body under the sheet is male.

Survivor List: Annalise, Oliver, Bonnie, Meggie, Laurel + Baby, Michaela

How To Get Away With Murder airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on CTV
