Are you one of those people who gets all their gifts wrapped at the mall/online store/your mom’s house? Well it’s time to add a little DIY to your wrapping routine, and as always, we’re here to help.

Forget the carols, we’ve got a song that’s really going to come in handy this holiday season. Now (w)rap along with us:

Here’s a little story that must be told
you’ll need boxes, scissors, tape
and some paper to fold.
All those things here for a reason,
I’m gonna show you how to wrap
for this holiday season.

Get your wrapping paper so your gift can hide,
make sure it’s two to three inches longer than the gift on all sides.
If you’re wrapping a box place it upside down on paper,
bring both length sides in
to make the presentation much greater.
Get some double-sided tape,
fold the edge over and connect,
that looks perfect – that would get Santa Claus’ respect.

Now spin it over to the side so we could see
before these edges meet
the trick is to fold in a crease.
Once you do that bring the left to the right,
doesn’t have to be perfect cause it’ll be outta sight.

Bring the top flap down right to the bottom,
once it’s down there then it ain’t no problem.
Go ahead and bring the bottom up to the top
but fold a crease so you’re wrapping doesn’t look like a flop.
Now do the exact same thing on the other end,
write their name and who it’s from and now it’s ready to send.
Jazz it up put some ribbon or a bow on top,
now your Christmas wrapping will no longer be the laughing stock!

We’ve shown you a wrap style you can remember in a rhyme
but here’s some other wrapping ideas if you’re running out of time:

Got a stuffed animal? Throw it in a bag!
Bought your mom perfume? You better throw it in a bag!
Half a hamburger? Gotta throw in a bag!
Bought your wife a car? You better…I guess just put a bow on it?

There are your tips on how to wrap
and you’re friends will think you’re cool cause you can do it in a rap.
Your gifts look great enough to make people drool,
and you just wrapped twice
but only one of them is cool.
