Some of you out there expecting babies or having had them might not like surprises. You might be one of those planners who need to know what gender the little one is so you can decorate the room, get clothes that aren’t all neutral-coloured, and figure out what to name him or her.

But there are others who loooooooove to be kept on their toes. They like mystery and intrigue and the unknown even though it could be argued that having a kid is enough of a surprise.

Sharon and Korey Rademacher took a guess that their friends and family fell into that latter group.

The Rademachers’ family and friends had no idea what they were getting into upon visiting the new parents at the hospital. They didn’t know if the newborn was a girl or boy. But because Sharon and Korey can keep a secret, and then some, the bomb they dropped was atomic: they didn’t just have one baby; they had two.

Sharon, who gave birth to healthy twin girls on March 12, and Korey told WOAI-TV that they knew they were having twins, but decided to keep that bit of information to themselves.

The Florida couple filmed everyone’s reaction to the news, from those visiting with pink and blue balloons, to others via video chat, and it was all perfectly priceless. Well done!
