Hey ladies — ever felt as though you weren’t exactly treated fairly in the workplace? Maybe it was feeling as though an idea you had went unheard, or that your male coworkers talked over you at meetings or events. Perhaps you’ve felt as though you were given a task simply because of your sex rather than your merit or even interest in said assignment. And when you went to speak with human resources about it to solve the conflict in a fair and rational way, you felt as though maybe it was your problem and your job could be on the line as a result of speaking up.

If any of those situations sound remotely like something you may have gone through in the past (or, heaven forbid are going through now), then you’re really going to relate to this video. Let’s take a look at what would happen if men were treated like women in the workplace, shall we?

In the video, above, several female office workers are shown going about their days, and the various–possibly sexist– things that happen to them that totally bum them out. However, when one guy slips and hits his head during some after-work drinks, the situation is suddenly reversed and he’s treated the way some women have been historically treated in an office setting.

Some of the takeaways include the idea that normal bodily functions like having your period might not be such a big deal anymore were situations reversed; the clip might get a little over-the-top when the office gals begin throwing tampons at each other. Or when an absurd amount of stuffed animals begin littering the desks. We mean, we only have two on our desk. Come on.

At its core, this is a message we can totally get behind. To live in the world as a female and not feel pressured to end sentences with a question or to not use that dreaded “up-speak” would be marvellous. And to feel a little less judged on our appearances when it comes to our actual jobs would be… well, terrific.

Check out the video in its entirety above to see what we’re talking about. Maybe the world of men and women being treated equally isn’t that far away. No tampons required.
