Plenty of artists try to differentiate their live shows, like Taylor Swift, who began her career by making her way through the audience to give her fans hugs, or Kanye West, who debuted his floating stage a few years ago. For Iggy Azalea, her upcoming concerts will feature an official twerkpit. We’re listening.

While twerking itself at concerts is nothing new, having a designated space for fans to pop their booty and feel the music in through the back and out through the front definitely is and feels on-brand for Azalea’s music. Specifically, she wants to see “Mo Bounce.” The rapper made the announcement to fans on Twitter, drawing their attention to the giant circle that will be taped off in the General Admission section of her shows. It’s a twerkpit.

Azalea’s fans quickly shared their reaction to the news, which was overwhelmingly positive. There just aren’t enough designated spaces to twerk. She’s giving the people what they want.

The Grammy-nominated musician responded to fans’ questions about the twerkpit, saying that she wants to create a safe space for dancing at shows and that she hopes the cordoned-off area will give fans the opportunity to show off their moves without being crushed by the crowd. More Soul Train, less mosh pit.

Azalea is set to perform on July 19 in Hollywood, California and play New York on July 24 before heading to Europe in the fall. Friday also marks the release of Iggy’s highly-anticipated second studio album, In My Defense. The album is set to arrive five years after the Australian artist’s debut album The New Classic, which included the singles “Fancy” with Charli XCX, “Change Your Life” with T.I., “Work” and “Black Widow” with Rita Ora.

Record label changes and scrapped albums attributed to the long stretch of time between the two records, with Iggy releasing solo singles in the interim and working with other artists, including Jennifer Lopez, who dropped the very twerkpit-appropriate “Booty.” Iggy also announced on social media this week that she plans to drop a new video and song with Kash Doll on Friday. We assume it will incite twerking.
