Batman and Robin better watch out, because there’s a new superhero duo in town and they’re basically the most adorable guys we’re ever seen: Tony Stark AKA Iron Man and a relative unknown to the superhero game Alex Pring.
So how did these two come together? Well, we’re just going to chalk it up to fate. You see, 7-year-old Alex was born with a partially developed right arm. An engineer named Albert Manero created a special bionic limb just for him. And when Manero finally finished the super cool arm, he decided that there was only one man who could properly present it to Alex. It had to be none other than the world’s leading bionic technology expert — the man who created the Iron Man suit with his own bare hands: Tony freakin’ Stark.
Upon hearing the request, the very busy Tony — also known as Robert Downey Jr. to some — (allegedly) used his Iron Man suit to fly over to Alex’s hotel room to surprise him with said bionic marvel.
Alex was oh-so excited to see Mr. Stark, but tried to keep his composure. He did such a great job at it, everyone had to ask, “You know who that is?! What’s his name?”
“Iron Man,” Alex says coolly, without making eye contact with anyone. “Robert.”
They then spent most of their time bonding over their almost identical arms and their mutual love of all things red, golden and bionic.
Now this is how dynamic duos are made.
