It wouldn’t be Love Island (Monday-Sunday, 9pm on CTV) without a devastating recoupling ceremony and that’s exactly what viewers will get…on Friday night. On Thursday, the Islanders spent most of the episode trying to decide who they will vaguely describe while standing in front of their peers before making a decision that is based completely on love and not at all on not at all on physical appearance or strategy. With Tre on the substitute bench and the addition of Kierstan and Rachel, the 13 Islanders did the summertime shuffle. Some tried to find a new match, while others are made it very clear that they are boo’d up until the fall. We mean you, Mackenzie and Connor. The first recoupling of the season has been announced and one of the female Islanders is at risk at being sent home, where they will have to isolate without a pool and hot tub. We would definitely cry.[video_embed id='2023767']RELATED: Former 'Islander' Eric Hall makes some steamy Season 2 predictions[/video_embed]

THE LOVE TRE-ANGLE

A Tre-angle. A menage a Tre. A Tre difficult decision. One of the female Islanders is at risk of being sent home on Friday, which meant Kaitlynn and Justine were battling for Tre’s attention in a bid to stay in the villa. Kaitlynn went the direct route in a game of Truth or Dare and declared that Tre was the Islander she wanted to couple up with, while Jasmine continued the put in the work of a slow burn relationship and only permitted a few cheek and forehead kisses. Mackenize went to bat for Justine, while Moira plead Kaitlynn’s case. And the guys were no help at all.

PUTTING ALL THE EGGS IN ONE BASKET

Rachel is ready to commit to Jeremiah and tells him that if she had 10 eggs, she would put eight in his basket. We do not watch Love Island to do math. Carry the three, divide by seven and that leaves two eggs for Jeremiah to use while cooking breakfast for Rachel and performing a catchy original song, which now counts as the only live concert we’ve seen this year.

THE SECRET HANDSHAKE

The Islanders have been in quarantine for months, which means Cely and Johnny’s handshake is essentially the same as real intimacy in 2020. Throw in the attempted Dirty Dancing lift at the end of their handshake and these two are now considered to be a married couple in 27 countries.

THE CARRINGTON COUNTDOWN

Carrington may be putting the stan in Kierstan, but do we think his lady is as excited about their new couple status? She typically goes for older guys. (Read: more mature.) She never knows what’s going to come out of his mouth. Said with a different emphasis, she never knows WHAT’S going to come out of his mouth. He loves talking about how good they look together. These are not things people should say out loud.

BIG PERSONALITY

Moira and James have been getting closer, which means she’s been learning about his "big personality." Well, that’s a new one.Watch new episodes of Love Island Monday-Sunday and 9pET on CTV.[video_embed id='2023772']BEFORE YOU GO: Brad Pitt and model Nicole Poturalski are reportedly an item[/video_embed]
