The arrival of new girl Emily continues to unravel the villa on Love Island  (Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV). With a recoupling teased all episode and brutally pushed to Wednesday night (we can’t quit you, Love Island), we must wait a whole 23 hours to find out who Emily chooses out from Weston, Canadian Eric, and ~maybe~ Kyra. Like the bathing suit cover-ups in Fiji, all bets are off.

IT’S ALL UP TO EMILY

Emily is in the best and worst position in the villa. After going on dates with Canadian Eric and Weston and having a private chat with Kyra, she has three people she likes and they’re all interested in her. Emily is new to the villa, but we already really like her and her approach to this difficult situation. She’s not taking it lightly and she even shed a few tears. We connect well to criers.

The new development also raises some questions about Love Island‘s coupling, with the show built on the assumption that a man and woman would end up together, it would be fascinating to see how these two ladies could shake up heteronormative presumptions.

GIRL CODE

We have to give it to Alexandra and Elizabeth, because the two girls acting like they always knew Kyra had feelings for Weston was an Oscar-worthy performance. Come on. Alexandra and Elizabeth are those friends who will amp you up, even if you’re making a terrible decision. They can also keep secrets. Unlike…

BRO CODE

Dylan practically sprinted to Weston after Kyra swore him to secrecy and revealed her feelings about Weston. Did we even reach the two-minute mark? Elizabeth lovingly referred to Dylan and Zac as Dumb and Dumber. At least Lloyd and Harry were loyal.

KELSEY FTW

We were admittedly getting worried about Kelsey after she said that Weston kissing Emily made her feel like she wasn’t good enough. Girl, don’t even! Thankfully, Kelsey sat in silence for a few moments and then regained her confidence. Kelsey calling Weston out for saying his feelings about her depend on Emily’s feelings about him was so uncomfortable and SO necessary. Weston’s attempt to spin things and blame Kelsey for pulling away while he was pursuing another girl was straight up tacky. Keep your values and your self-worth, Kelsey! No cowboy is worth either of those things.

WESTON IS IN A PICKLE

Weston is banking on none of the girls talking to one another. He’s obviously never met a girl. Or a guy. Or anyone living in the villa. Weston is telling Kelsey that he still likes her, he’s telling Emily that things are over with Kelsey and he’s telling Kyra that he should have coupled up with her. If his goal is to sabotage the nice-guy image he’s spent weeks creating, he’s going about it the right way.

THAT AWKWARD MOMENT

Weston offering to make breakfast for Emily and being interrupted by Kelsey, who made him breakfast yesterday, was the final nail in Weston’s nice-guy coffin.

WHO WE’RE SHIPPING

I think we can all agree that Zacbeth is our final hope for humanity/a real connection in the villa.

FINAL THOUGHTS

We want to know what type of facewash Canadian Eric is using (that everyone is stealing) because his skin is on point. Get that skincare influence money, Canadian Eric.
