It’s no big surprise that Gwyneth Paltrow has announced the 2015 launch of her first fashion line, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting.
The oh-so-perfect actress and lifestyle maven is producing a collection of Goop-branded basics that will be undoubtedly expensive and terribly chic.
When Gwynnie speaks, Goop fans listen: Last year $1,000 pieces from her closet sold out in under 24 hrs. The uber-successful blog and e-commerce site professes to “share all of life’s positives” including style, travel, food and health advice for those with money to burn. The recent naming of Lisa Gersh as new CEO means there are big plans to expand. Gersh’s last big gig? President and CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. Look out for upcoming style collaborations with Stella McCartney and Diane von Fürstenberg, as well as beauty and home products.
With gal pals like Stella and DVF on speed dial, we’re pretty sure fans won’t be disappointed by Gwyneth’s line of luxury basics.
Here are a few pieces we really hope to find in her lookbook (at this rate, Martha Stewart may just want to concede defeat):
From left: Just-stepped-off-the-helicopter-from-the-Hamptons pea coat; Just-nipped-out-to-a-movie-premiere basic-white dress and strappy sandals; Just-out-to-dinner-in-Soho-with-Chelsea-Handler crisp white T-shirt, fitted blazer and perfectly cuffed boyfriend jeans
