The double sized episode of  Love Island (Monday-Sunday, 9pm on CTV) packed double the drama with four Islanders leaving the Villa and three arriving. Carrington finally got to play charades, there was a shocking amount of toilet paper wasted, and Cely remembered there’s a whole ass pandemic going on outside the Villa. And that was just the first day!The Islanders are beginning to feel the strain of living in a fishbowl and for Justine and Cely, that has meant missing their families. Thankfully, their relationships are going strong, although Justine will still definitely leave Caleb for Michael B. Jordan. No relationship is bulletproof.

GOODBYE MY FRIEND

Cue up the Spice Girls, because it was time to say goodbye to friends. The results of the latest viewer vote were delivered by host Arielle Vandenberg, who unfortunately did not give the male Islanders any notes on how to sit while wearing a toga. Gentlemen, easy on the manspreading.Moira and Connor, Justine and Caleb, Kierstan and Calvin, and Cely and Johnny were all voted safe by viewers. That left girls Mackenzie, Laurel and Sher up for elimination and boys Aaron, Carrington and Jalen on the chopping block. After a debate, the boys saved Laurel and the girls chose Carrington, with Kierstan delivering the tearful speech that she knew meant her ex would get to stay with his girlfriend. Kierstan’s respect for girl code is unmatched.

THE THREE ISLAND-EERS

Lots of things are legal in 2020 that previously weren’t, including wearing a mask into a bank and sitting in a stranger’s room and watching them sleep. Well, at least on Love Island. Confident health care worker and baseball enthusiast Noah, executive assistant Bennett, and New Jersey native Benny made their grand entrance into the Villa following the four-person elimination. The women were happily sweating and the men were nervously sweating. Deodorant all around!

WHO’S GOT A DATE? CELY’S GOT A DATE!

Each newbie Islander got to pick one person to go on a date with during their first day in the Villa. Bennett picked Kierstan and Noah picked Moira, with the men playing it safe by choosing women who weren’t in serious relationships. And Bennie? Bennie chose Cely. Bennie is brave.Johnny assumed he and Cely were fine until Cely told him she was excited about the new Islanders. Johnny’s nerves weren’t settled by the other guys, who reminded him that it only took one conversation at Casa Amor before he kissed Mercades. As Caleb said, “You look worried, bro.” According to Johnny, he’s totally not worried and just felt like asking Carrington for a piggyback so he could spy on Cely’s date with Johnny 2.0. Definitely not worried.

MACKENZIE HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

As one of the OG Islanders, seeing Mackenzie leave the Villa hit a lot of her roomies hard. Mackenzie spent her last few hours in the Villa upset that Connor had the nerve to say nice things about Moira after Mackenzie left him for Jalen. She complained to Aaron, to Moira and to Connor, and surprisingly it was Connor who took the most interest. Moira? Not so much. “I don’t know if Mackenzie is thinking as clearly as the rest of us,” said Moira after listening to Mackenzie "warn" her about the world’s nicest dude. “I think it’s a little selfish.” Mackenzie’s exit left Connor in tears and full of regret that he didn’t spend more time hanging out with someone who had broken up with him on national television. Will Connor and Mackenzie get back together outside the Villa? We can’t be sure, but yes.[video_embed id='2036308']ICYMI: One Islander comes thiiis close to recoupling with an old flame on ‘Love Island’ [/video_embed]Watch new episodes of Love Island Monday-Sunday, 9pET on CTV.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Golden Retriever puppy's favorite snack is a carrot stick [/video_embed]
