We’ve seen a lot of characters walk through the doors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital on Grey’s Anatomy (Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV) and some have been truly exceptional (fictional) people. There have also been some serious hot docs to put on and take off their scrubs, with these two groups sometimes crossing over to give us a hot surgeon who is also a great person. But the Venn Diagram may have met its match on Thursday night with Link, who is officially #boyfriendgoals and frankly #humangoals. That’s in addition to his previous title of #jawlinegoals.

THE PREGNANCY REVEAL

For someone who is so terrified of being pregnant, Amelia delivered (pregnancy pun!) the news to Link in the most casual way possible, giving him a heads up about her new womb raider in an empty stairwell before rushing off to a surgery. When the pair finally did have time to talk in the green room, which we’re happy to see still exists, Link delivered what is possibly the greatest speech ever given by a man who has impregnated a woman he barely knows. He’s terrified to have a baby because cancer/global warming/gun violence/Trump although he didn’t say it but we know he meant it, but he thinks Amelia is amazing and he would love to be a parent with her. But if Amelia doesn’t want to have the baby, he’ll drive her to the appointment, hold her hand, and support her every step of the way. It’s almost as if Link played 50 percent of the role in Amelia getting pregnant and therefore is committed to being a 50/50 partner with her. Yes (clap) Link (clap).

PAC NORTH’S PROBLEM

Alex is officially the chief of Pac North, Richard is officially a surgeon at Pac North, and we are officially concerned about the patients in the hospital. A guy almost died in the waiting room, which doesn’t say a lot for the quality of care. At least at Grey Sloan the patients run into you in the parking lot and almost die there. It seems as though Grey’s Anatomy is setting up for the long haul with Alex, Richard and Meredith’s firing from Grey Sloan, which could be an interesting turn. We assumed they would be re-hired after only one episode, but seeing the doctors cope in new, less clean, less tech-y, and less comfortable environments could be interesting. We still don’t want Meredith on our work crew. I don’t think she’s picked up a single piece of garbage.

WHEN KORACICK DIDN’T CLEAR

Seeing someone get hurt is never funny, even if it’s on TV and we know it’s fake. That being said, Tom Koracick receiving an electrical shock to the genitals was hilarious (because it’s fake and we know he’s okay). Still funny. Did Owen do it on purpose? Maybe. Is Tom overreacting by issuing a restraining order against Owen? Maybe. That one has a lot of grey area to sort through. Owen has been a thorn in Tom’s love life, especially now that Owen and Teddy are official hotel room renters together and share a child who never sleeps. But a restraining order? Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is already down three attendings, plus Teddy on maternity leave, and we’re not sure how Owen is going to work at the hospital that Tom runs if he has to stay 500 metres away from his boss. We know the US runs on the Imperial System, but 500 metres is essentially a whole hospital. Watch new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV and catch up online anytime at CTV.ca.
