Royal Family meeting

To say that Harry and Meghan's royal (or is that unroyal?) bombshell last week has turned the monarchy on its head is an understatement. But Queen Elizabeth hasn't been in this role for decades to not have learned a thing or two — and she's no stranger to surprises, nor is she one to be passive. Instead, she's going on the offensive and taking matters into her own hands. Her Majesty summoned Prince Harry to Sandringham, and along with Prince Charles and Prince William, the family were presumably going to "talk things through," hash it out face to face, and figure out a way for everyone to get what they want. Following Monday's meeting, The Queen released this statement: "Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family," read her statement. My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family."It continued: "Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives. It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK. These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days."[video_embed id='1875131']The Queen agrees to a 'period of transition' following Meghan and Harry's announcement[/video_embed]The ultimate goal is to see if Harry and Meghan's potential working model is doable for everyone, particularly the institution, and while things won't be resolved overnight it looks like they're all aiming to figure this all out sooner rather than later. And you heard right, the couple will be spending time in Canada.Ahead of the meeting, both Harry and William also issued out a rare joint statement to shoot down reports of any rift going on between them. Reunions between Friends will never get old

While Netflix subscribers are still crying in their giant coffee cups that Friends was removed from the streaming service, Canadians still have so many places to watch it, including CTV Comedy Channel, where it airs multiple times a day, thank Gunther. But if we ever need a real-life fix of our favourite on-screen pals, all we have to do is peruse one of their Instagram pages and we'll be blessed with two or more of their faces together. On Sunday, we got a little insight into what Monica, Rachel and Phoebe would probably do on a night out in 2020 when Jennifer Aniston took to Instagram to share two photos of herself with Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow. And while the caption was seemingly directed at Joey and Chandler, we appreciated it.

You know when casts of TV shows say they're best friends with their fellow actors? Sometimes it's doubtful but it's clear that Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer truly do still love each other. Friends may have ended in 2004 but these six's friendship won't. Plus, with a reunion special in the works, it only gives us one more Friends-y thing for fans to look forward to. Until the next Instagram post!

Earlier that same day, it was announced that Mark-Paul Gosselaar would be reprising his role as Zack Morris, though whether he'll shave off his real-life beard or he'll revert to his preppy days remains to be seen. A scruffy Zack? Yes, please.

Serena Williams won her first title of the year, is donating the prize money to Australia wildfire relief

It's not even the middle of January and Serena Williams has already accomplished so much. The tennis star, arguably the GOAT in all of sports, won her first title of the year since becoming a mother in 2017. She beat American Jessica Pegula in straight sets to take the ASB Classic and it looks like 2020 might be Serena's year. The presentation was amazing, as she thanked her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, and husband Alexis Ohanian for being so patient with her. "It's a lot, I'm a lot," she laughed. After giving a shoutout to daughter Olympia, Serena then announced she would be donating her $43,000 prize money to Australia and the wildfire relief. That gesture comes days after she and other tennis stars announced they would be playing in a charity match to raise money for the cause, which will take place on January 15th, four days prior to the start of the Australian Open.Williams will compete in tennis' first grand slam of the year. It was at the Australian Open in 2017 that Serena won the title — and where it was also revealed she won it while 20 weeks pregnant. Let's see how she fares this year.

Dina Lohan was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident

Lindsay Lohan may be on the verge of a comeback but her mother is on a different path. Dina Lohan was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident in New York.Police told TMZ that Lohan struck a car outside an Outback Steakhouse and allegedly fled the scene. But the other driver was able to pursue Dina and followed her all the way home. Officers arrived but she reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer test but they saw "clear signs of intoxication" and arrested her for "DWI, leaving the scene of an accident and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle."Lohan's attorney, Mark Jay Heller, told TMZ that her arrest is "most unfortunate," and informed the gossip site that she is pleading not guilty to all six charges (which also included causing property damage along with driving with a suspended license and with an expired registration).Lohan reportedly accepted a plea deal at the time, and was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, a $3,000 fine and her driver's license revoked for one year.[video_embed id='1870201']Justin Trudeau has a beard and we have some thoughts[/video_embed]
