On this week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy (Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/MT on CTV), the crushes we have been suspecting all season have been confirmed. Well, they haven’t necessarily been vocalized, but the looks. So many looks. It’s time to pick a side and pledge your allegiance in the Meredith Love Triangle. Are you Team DeLuca or Team Link? We’re Team Wish We Were Meredith.

CTV

Let’s start with Andrew DeLuca. The pros are plenty. He rides a motorcycle, he plays the guitar, he speaks Italian, he’s a good brother, and he wears scrubs like he’s doing them a favour. On Wednesday’s episode, we also saw that he’s great with kids, even picking up that the little girl he was supposed to be operating on was uncomfortable with him seeing her stomach because of her huge (and valid) crush. Plus, he and Meredith shared a drunken kiss at Alex and Jo’s wedding, so we know there are some sparks. As we saw at the start of this season, Meredith had a sex dream about her male co-workers, but only DeLuca was in bed with her. Another point DeLuca.

As for the cons, there are a few. One, DeLuca reports to Meredith, but that’s a technicality. Meredith herself hooked up with Derek when she was an intern and they got married, so that can be handled. One issue that can’t be solved with paperwork is the fact that DeLuca spent a few months dating Meredith’s sister Maggie. Yeah. That one is going to be more difficult to get around. Maggie and DeLuca were never that serious, but Meredith is all about loyalty and the sisterhood bond is a strong one, especially since her mother is dead and her absentee father Thatcher is now dying. Things aren’t looking good for DeLuca.

As for Link, there really aren’t any cons. We’re *pretty* sure that he and Jo never dated, so no weirdness there. Jo is working overtime to try to get the pair together, maybe because she really likes Meredith and Link or maybe because she wants Meredith to have a ‘person’ other than Jo’s husband. We get it.

CTV

As for pros, Link is great with kids, even giving himself a terrible haircut to make his young patient feel better about his cancer. Oh yeah, he’s swoon-worthy. We also learned this week that Link himself dealt with cancer at a young age, so there’s pain and depth behind those chiseled abs.

Link seems like the obvious choice. He and Meredith are equals at work and he doesn’t have the sister baggage. But there’s just something about Meredith and DeLuca together that we can’t quite shake. That’s it, we’re Team DeLuca. But we’re not against Team Link. Okay, we’re Team Meredith Hooking Up With A Hottie.

CTV

We also have to talk about Schmidt and new Ortho Fellow Dr. Nico Kim, who are recreating the Callie Torres/Erica Hahn storyline. It appears that Nico really has been after Schmidt. So we, and Schmidt, weren’t imagining that.

CTV

The two shared a passionate kiss in the elevator and it looked like Schmidt was ready to explore his options, but Nico wasn’t interested in helping Schmidt come out. With so much lead up to this kiss, we have a feeling it’s not over yet. Team Schmidt Finding Himself.
