Ivanka Trump has announced that her eponymous clothing line is finally folding… something that probably should’ve happened months ago. Like, 17 months ago when she first started working as senior advisor for her father’s administration.

Considering the label has been landing on sale racks and in discount department stores since the Trump inauguration, the closure doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Still, Ivanka promises this isn’t due to low sales, but is rather a calculated move so she can focus on her work in Washington.

“I do not know when or if I will ever return to the business, but I do know that my focus for the foreseeable future will be the work I am doing here in Washington,” Ivanka told the Wall Street Journal. “So making this decision now is the only fair outcome for my team and partners.”

After the announcement, the brand publicly thanked its customers (whoever they are).

“It has been an honor to build this incredible community of women and we are very proud of the content and product we delivered. More importantly, we cultivated amazing partnerships and friendships during the life of the brand,” it wrote.

While the label’s farewell messaging was positive, people on Twitter weren’t shedding any tears for Ivanka Trump or her defunct fashions.

Late night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert also took some jabs on-air.

“Today it was announced that Ivanka Trump is closing her namesake fashion brand. Yeah, she’s closing down her namesake fashion brand because she wants to spend more time with her namesake fascism brand,” said Colbert.

Kimmel echoed the same sentiment, “Wow, a Trump business is failing — who would have ever guessed that something like this could possibly ever happen?”

It’s likely even more Ivanka Trump garments will find their way to the sale rack, with deeply discounted hang tags, as the company closes up. If you’re a tall, slim person (the only body type her line ever seemed to flatter) desperate for new threads, you could considering picking up a cheap piece… just also consider cutting out the tags and never telling a soul about your questionable purchase. Or better yet, spend your hard-earned money with a reputable designer — that’s the most ethical option on the table.
