Looks like some people aren’t happy with Ivanka Trump. Following her appearance on 60 Minutes with her father, President-elect Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump’s Fine Jewelry Line sent out an email blast to journalists with information about the bracelet she was wearing. Which happened to be designed by her eponymous jewelry line.

This sent the Twitter world in a flurry. Many did not appreciate the marketing and questioned the integrity of the “Style Alert.”

Before you say “But Michelle Obama promotes products by wearing them all the time,” consider that the First Lady never actually hawked any of her own wares.

Fear not, however, because Ivanka took note. The company soon issued a statement regarding the email. In a classic sorry not-sorry style apology, president of Ivanka Trump Fine Jewellery Abigail Klem stated, “This notification was sent by a well-intentioned marketing employee at one of our companies who was following customary protocol, and who, like many of us, is still making adjustments post-election. We are proactively discussing new policies and procedures with all of our partners going forward.”

Ironically, some individuals were quick to point out that the apology is garnering the bracelet even more press.

Well played, Ivanka.
