Jacob Tremblay is having quite the year. In fact, because he’s only nine, some would say he’s having quite the life. He earned all kinds of raves from critics and audiences alike for his role in Room and throughout this entire awards season, he has been absolutely adorable, as he gave charming speeches, presented various awards, and rubbed elbows with stars.
But it was at Sunday night’s Oscars where he was his most charming. Sure, he might not have gotten an Oscar nod (well, this year, at least) but he’s still a winner in our books. Let us count the ways.
It started off adorable, as he and his parents — maybe the best-looking couple in the room — headed to the Dolby Theatre.
He’s totally comfortable getting interviewed on red carpets.

And even though his bedtime is eight o’clock, his parents were totally OK with him staying out late on a school night.

But he did admit that sometimes he doesn’t get to see the stage.
He wore Star Wars socks …

… and Millennium Falcon cuff links, proving he’s a die-hard fan.

So obviously he got super-excited when the droids came on stage. (And any excuse to see Jacob’s dad again. We see where he gets his cuteness.)

He even scored a new squad after the show.
Yep, just Jacob and Rey, er, Daisy Ridley, NBD.
Met #Rey, she is awesome, but @daisyridley is even cooler! #oscars #roomthemovie #starwars

His mom knew her son might need a distraction so why not get him a book for the looooooong night.

Tremblay was gracious when Chris Rock gave him a crate to stand on while presenting with Beasts of No Nation‘s Abraham Attah, letting the host know he loved him in Madagascar and then telling the audience, “He was the zebra, he was hilarious!”

Jacob took selfies with Brie Larson.

And the two Room stars high-fived when their movie was presented for Best Picture.

But his cutest moment of the night was when Brie won Best Actress and she gave Jacob a hug.

More Jacob, please, forever and ever.
