How I Met Your Mother fans may want to suit up. One of the cast members from the beloved series shared his thoughts on a reunion this weekend and it’s legen-wait for it-dary.

Jason Segel was attending the Austin Film Festival this past weekend, to present his 2011 film The Muppets and share his thoughts on his impressive TV and film career with festival goers.

Following Sunday’s screening of The Muppets, an audience member asked Segel whether he would be open to reprising his role as the lovable lawyer Marshall Eriksen on How I Met Your Mother. “I’d be around for whatever those guys wanted to do,” answered Segel. “It changed my life.”

Segel, who’s starred in and written Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Five Year Engagement, and The Muppets, said that while he would love to work with the HIMYM cast and crew again, he would leave the reunion story to the writers. “One of the great things about my relationship to that show is I never got involved in the writing, I just tried to execute what these brilliant writers did, so I would leave that to them, as usual.”

Segel hasn’t returned to television since How I Met Your Mother ended in 2014 after nine seasons. The actor has focused on film, writing and starring in Sex Tape with Cameron Diaz and stunning audiences with his dramatic portrayal of author David Foster Wallace in The End Of The Tour.

With fans famously divided over the ending of the series, HIMYM is a prime candidate for a reunion, with shows like Veronica Mars, Will and Grace and Gilmore Girls marking a new trend in fan favourites returning to theatres and TV screens years after their finales.

Did Barney really leave his womanizing ways behind and focus on fatherhood? Did Lily and Marshall add another kid to their trio and are they still the epitome of a perfect relationship? Did Robin and Ted actually make it stick this time? And who is throwing the Halloween parties now? It’s time for a reunion.
