Jennifer Garner just showed us why we all love her and why Ben Affleck is the luckiest man in Hollywood. The actress was on Today promoting her new movie, Danny Collins, when co-host Savannah Guthrie mentioned Garner’s recent photo shoot for Southern Living with her mother, Patricia, and sisters Melissa and Susannah, and the actress kind of lost it.

“It makes me cry to see their faces, so I won’t look,” Garner said as a gorgeous shot of the four women from the spread was shown.

“There’s just nothing like sharing the spotlight or anything else with your sisters and your mom,” Garner continued as she began to well up. “It’s always fun for me to get my sisters dolled up and my mom… I can’t even take it, Today show is too tough for me.”

Guthrie tried to change the subject to more delightful topics like Tax Day, though arguably that makes people cry more. When she sent the camera to Matt Lauer, he couldn’t rave enough about Garner, saying, “We just put Jennifer on the list of best guests ever… Fantastic, she’s unbelievable.”

“I’m so sorry!” Garner said as she continued to wipe away the tears. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. My mom is under the weather and it just… I didn’t realize I would get emotional.” Here’s hoping Jen’s mom is feeling better. But shame on the people at Today for not handing Garner a tissue in those couple minutes. Though we suppose it’s still better than getting a pie in the face. Twice.
