Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone are two superstar actresses. Rich and famous and sexy and smart and funny. The real deals. But there’s also something down to earth and cool and honest about them both.
It’s the kind of “nice girl” image that makes you want to be their best friend and eat cheese and drink wine together.
It just makes sense, then, that the pair are in fact bffs in real life. They’re adorable pals who you can’t help but envy a little bit when you see them giggling together.
Lawrence and Stone shared deep, dark secrets — like first kisses and embarrassing childhood memories — in an interview with W magazine (the two cover the latest issue of the American fashion and culture mag). Just like you and your oldest friend do… except, you know, streamed online for the world to see.
“Do you understand that spending time with us is just us sitting and screaming at each other,” Stone asks the reporter.
“We just scream at each other,” Lawrence adds. “We’re both hoarse after we hang out—oh my god. I can’t imagine what it must be like for other people. We should never hang out, only with each other.”
“I’m so sorry that you’re having a window into this,” Stone says.
The journalist tasked with talking to the naturally hilarious duo goes deep, Halloween costume deep, asking about their fav costumes.
Lawrence, 27, explains how one year she wasn’t allowed to dress as “anything demonic” for Halloween, so she had to get creative.
“My mom wouldn’t let me be a witch or a ghost…so I cut a hole in a plastic cloth and went as a picnic table. The problem was I had a crush on this guy named John, and I was so pumped for Halloween because it was our chance to interact, and then I put my face in the tablecloth and was like, ‘Hi, John. Are you my boyfriend?’”
Cue Stone’s LOL. You probably have that friend who can make your sides explode with a few well-timed emojis — that, apparently, is the relationship these two have. The pair go on to share other amusing stories, like first kisses.
“This is going to sound like a murder story, but it was in the woods, outside of a baseball park. The guy who I kissed found my turtle. I lost it,” Lawrence says.
Random, right? Watch all the randomness unfold here:
Both Lawrence and Stone are up for Academy Awards for Best Actress this season, Lawrence for mother! and Stone for Battle of the Sexes, and while the winner of the golden trophy won’t be announced until the envelope is opened on Oscar night, you know these two will be the life of whatever after party the roll into, no matter who takes home the award.
