We remember 2005 like it was yesterday. Jessica Simpson was the It Girl, a singer wrapping up a reality show about to break out on the big screen in The Dukes of Hazzard remake. Around the same time, her marriage to Nick Lachey was ending, but another part of her life was just beginning. J-Simp was getting her clothing line off the ground. Who knew the Jessica Simpson Collection would be the billion-dollar empire it us today?
And its success just keeps on going. To celebrate the Spring 2017 line, Simpson took to modelling pieces from the collection in a series of ads, and is absolutely stunning. People reports Jess wasn’t just designer and model but she also styled every look in the campaign, with her mother Tina’s help.
Looking like no time has passed in her Daisy Dukes:
Working a pair of embellished boyfriend jeans and a crop top in another:
And, finally, dancing like no one’s watching in a lace LBD that’s fun and sexy:
According to a press release from the brand, “the collection evokes home-grown adventures” and is “inspired by the essence of travel,” bringing together “textured, crafty cultures of a world bazaar.” It’s a “rich, colorful, eclectic mix” with an overall theme of “an American girl hits the road — postcards from California, Texas, Florida.”
