It was May 1st, right after the Billboard Music Awards, when Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner surprised everyone by getting married in Las Vegas. The timing was perfect–Joe’s brothers, Nick and Kevin, and their respective wives, Priyanka and Danielle, all happened to be there since the Jonases were performing at their first awards show in over a decade. But the wedding part afterwards was supposed to be secret. And it could’ve been, had guest Diplo not documented the entire thing.

The DJ and record producer posted all kinds of video of the entire ceremony to his Instagram stories. Thanks to Diplo we saw Turner walk down the aisle as country singers Dan + Shay played their song “Speechless,” witnessed the couple exchange vows and Ring Pops in front of an Elvis impersonator, and watched the red jumpsuited officiant conclude the wedding by singing “Viva Las Vegas” as the newlyweds danced and their loved ones cheered.

And now, a few weeks later, Joe says the one hiccup from that night was Diplo live-streaming the whole thing. According to The Blast, Jonas appeared on U.K. radio show Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp and one of the DJs commented that Diplo “ruined” the wedding. And Joe was in complete agreement. “Diplo did,” he responded. “Yeah, he ruined it,” adding he “loves his ‘gram more than a 13-year-old.” Joking? Or funny ’cause it’s true? We’ll never know.

It’s been reported that Jonas and Turner are set to wed in a more extravagant affair in France this summer, and only got hitched in Vegas for legal reasons. And while Jonas told the radio show there are no hard feelings between him, Sophie and Diplo, it’s probably safe to say the DJ won’t be on the upcoming guest list.
