John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are one of those celebrity couples people can't help but love. There's something so genuine and funny and likeable about them, both as individuals and as a couple, that it's impossible not to root for them and their relationship, which is why it's such a treat when they occasionally step out together.John and Emily like to keep their personal lives personal, which we totally get. We don't know much about them, know even less about their children, though they do share a fun anecdote every now and again. For the most part, though, they try not to reveal too much. So when they go out on a date night and share what they did with the rest of the world, it's kind of a big deal. Because it's no secret how much they don't love the paparazzi. It was in 2009 that Blunt slammed one photographer who swore at her in front of her mother during the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada. "They can become like vultures," Blunt recalled to Harper's Bazaar. "This photographer yelled 'Go f*ck yourself' at me, and I heard my mum gasp. It was just appalling." Combine that with her "dinosaur" status on social media and, well, it's kind of understandable that that experience left a bad taste in her mouth. But while Emily isn't on Instagram or Twitter, thankfully John is. And he's a bit of a sharer. Not an oversharer, mind you, but shares just enough and we'll take what we can get. He and Emily, who make their home in Brooklyn, are obviously no strangers to the bright lights of the big city but when it comes to going public with their nights out together, it has to be a worthy event. And it's clear that the newest Broadway phenomenon, Derren Brown: Secret, wowed Krasinski enough to earn a social media shout-out and snap of his lovely wife.
"One of the greatest shows ever." That's high praise from John, who himself has appeared in his share of series and movies that many would argue deserves that same praise. The illusionist, for his part, also shared a pic of himself with Krasinski and Blunt, with the caption: "I am meeting the most extraordinary people who come and see the show. People I have no business being around. But it's ever so nice and occasionally wonderful, like last night. These two."Brown's magic show has been popular with critics, fans and celebs alike. Ever since it debuted in September, stars like Glenn Close, Neve Campbell, Amber Tamblyn and Colin Jost have been clamouring to see the one-man, two-and-a-half-hour "magically mind-blowing theatrical experience." Heck, the opening was attended by Jon Hamm and SNL producer Lindsay Shookus (aka Ben Affleck's ex), so it's not only the greatest show but also the perfect date night show.
