It was a special night at Universal Studios in Hollywood this past weekend as Halloween festivities were wrapped up for the year. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend were among those in attendance but while most people were likely there ready to be frightened, they instead got an impromptu concert along with their admission. On Friday night, John, wearing a red onesie with his own face plastered on it, jumped on a stage and performed a tipsy, modified version of his ballad "All of Me" on Friday night. The best part? Chrissy got the whole thing on video. Well, technically, she wasn't holding the phone but she did post it on her Twitter feed, which has since earned nearly 372,000 likes. In her tweet, Teigen explained how it came to be, writing, "John got wine drunk and sang a song at universal studios last night," before adding in a follow-up tweet, "The whole joke was supposed to be that literally no one was watching or at the stage but then he got on stage and was like ITS ME JOHN LEGEND." Someone likes the spotlight. Many loved John's choice of costume, and how it added to the performance. While some people didn't really believe it was John Legend up there in the first place. But the consensus was we all deserve a future album inspired by this glorious night. And if you thought John was ashamed of his performance, think again. In his own post on Instagram,  The Voice coach first explained the onesie, how he made his way onto that stage and his outfit choice but we'd almost rather not know the details and just assume it was an early Christmas miracle.
Somewhere, daughter Luna and son Miles, were probably like, "OMG, our parents."John's well-received spontaneous concert came a few days after Chrissy shared a rare sweet tweet about her husband—though we'd argue that while we loved that, we prefer her more humourous posts.Chrissy, John and the kids were also on the cover of Vanity Fair this month and the couple went into their marriage and childhoods in the accompanying story. On how the couple initially connected, Legend told the mag, "It got serious pretty quickly. She just entertained the hell out of me, texting me. What people respond to in her tweets today was the same energy in those texts. I didn't know that I wanted someone funny until I was actually with someone funny."And luckily, she shares that funny side with the world, which is how we got John Legend singing in a onesie with a picture of his face on it.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: John Legend’s daughter is ‘skeptical’ about his singing[/video_embed]
