You know when something is so awkward that you scrunch your toes in your shoes while you watch it, and you want to look away, but you just can’t. Well, this is that.

We dare you to watch this video apology to Australia from Amber Heard and her actor husband Johnny Depp and not cringe overtly. It’s uncomfortable! Are we the only ones who were half expecting some kind of punch line at the end of the clip?

The public apology comes after the couple failed to declare their two Yorkshire terriers when entering Australia last year. Just some good old fashioned dog smuggling. Celebrities: they’re just like us!

The couple appeared in an Australian court where Heard pleaded guilty to knowingly producing a false or misleading document about her pooches. And she is really, really sorry, you guys, stating that she is “truly sorry that Pistol and Boo were not declared.”

Pistol and Boo are really, really sorry, too, you guys.

The Australian courts seem to have been convinced by the pairs’ sub-par acting, because Heard’s punishment is just a one-month “good behaviour” bond sentence.

Could be worse, we suppose:

Johnny Depp can be a difficult guy to watch at the best of times, but this is next level. Just look at that stare!

But there’s a bright side to every cringe-worthy video posted online: the internet reactions.

Please, we’ll take Pirates over this uncomfortable clip any day! Well, Pirates 1 anyway.
