Jon and Jen are done

After 18 years together, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt have officially called it quits. While this may be surprising to some, there were unofficial reports a couple months back that they had ended things. At least now Sandra Bullock isn’t to blame.

“With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history,” the couple told People in a joint statement. “We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward.” Yep, we’re just as sad now as we were in July when the rumours first surfaced.

Beyoncé got the cutest birthday card

Happy belated, Bey! She may have received millions of birthday wishes for her 34th year but the best one came from daughter Blue Ivy.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all my birthday wishes.

Bey also shared on her website the gifts her nearest and dearest gave her: a list of super-personal song dedications. There are a ton there but the two that stood out were from Blue and Jay Z. So freakin’ sweet. https://www.tumblr.com/

The Rock saved new adopted puppy from drowning

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may save lives on the big screen but turns out he’s quick to take action in real life too. The actor adopted two French Bulldog puppies and within hours of bringing them home sweet home, he ended up having to rescue one of them from his pool. And of course the king of hashtags Instagrammed the almost-gory details.

Here’s a fun Labor Day weekend story… We just decided to add two new members to our Johnson family. Baby French Bulldogs. In my right hand is BRUTUS and in my left hand is HOBBS. Bring them home and immediately take them outside so they can start learning how to “handle their business and potty like big boys”. I set them both down and they both take off in a full sprint and fall right into the deep end of our pool. HOBBS immediately starts doggy paddling while BRUTUS (like a brick) sink heads first to the bottom of the pool. I take off into a full sprint, fully clothed, dive in the pool, swim to the bottom, rescue my brick, I mean BRUTUS and bring him back to the edge of the pool. He was a little delirious.. took a moment, threw up all the water he swallowed and looked up at me as if to say, “Thank God you didn’t have to give me mouth to mouth!” and then ran off to play with his brother. A few lessons I’ve learned today.. A) Not all puppies have the instinct to doggie paddle. B) Some puppies (like BRUTUS) will be so in shock by experiencing water they will sink extremely fast so react quick. C) While spiriting to save your puppies life, before you dive in, try and throw your cel phone to safety. Don’t keep it in your pocket… like I did. #BRUTUSLives #HOBBSCanSwim #MyCelPhonesDead #AndNoMouthToMouthNeeded #HappyLaborDay A photo posted by therock (@therock) on

Robin Williams’ daughter posted an inspiring message

It’s been just over a year since the death of Robin Williams and to this day it’s still hard to believe he’s gone. The late actor’s daughter, Zelda Williams, shared a touching message about sadness and grief, asking those who are suffering from depression to “hold on to the possibility of hope.”

Moonrise on the lake 🌕 I spent this night shivering and laughing under a clear, cold sky full of stars with people I love just to witness something beautiful. We mooned the moon and laughed ourselves hoarse, and I’m so incredibly grateful for every silly second. I came to a realization this year that I feel compelled to share here, for whomsoever may need it: Avoiding fear, sadness or anger is not the same thing as being happy. I live my sadness every day, but I don’t resent it anymore. Instead, I do it now so that the wonderful moments of joy I do find are not in order to forget, but to inhabit and enjoy for their own sake. It’s not easy. In fact, I’d say it takes much more effort to consciously do than it does to just stay sad, but with all my heart, I cannot tell you how worth it it is. And for those suffering from depression, I know how dark and endless that tunnel can feel, but if happiness seems impossible to find, please hold on to the possibility of hope, faint though it may be. Because I promise you, there’re enough nights under the same yellow moon for all of us to share, no matter how or when you find your way there.

Two months after her father’s death, Zelda tweeted about trying to “end the stigma” surrounding mental illness and the day after he died, she took to her Tumblr page to remember him. His memory will live on and remind us that everything is not what it seems.

This is why Khloe is our favourite

What’s better — Compton or Kris Jenner? Khloe Kardashian posed with sisters Kim, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie and used the meme generator that was created by Beats by Dre to promote the blockbuster hit, Straight Outta Compton. (Pfft. As if the movie needed promoting.)

Ha!! Khloe may be the only smiling but that’s not to say the rest of us don’t find this hilarious.
