Jordyn Woods spent years being known as Kylie Jenner’s right-hand woman, with the two besties joined at the hip. Appearing together on Life of Kylie, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and as constants in one another’s social media posts, their seemingly unbreakable bond was broken earlier this year when Woods was spotted kissing Tristan Thompson, who at the time was dating Jenner’s sister, Khloe Kardashian. The couple were new parents to baby True, and Thompson’s kiss with Woods marked the NBA players’ second-high profile cheating scandal, bringing Thompson’s relationship with Khloe to an end and resulting in the severing of ties between Woods and the Kardashian family, including Kylie.

Now it appears as though Kylie and Jordyn may be on the road to recovery. A source previously told Us Weekly that Woods and Jenner have been in contact through texting and in a new interview with Woods, the model turned actor says she hopes the pair can ‘come back together.’

Appearing on the cover of the September issue of Cosmo UK, Woods opened up about the early days of her relationship with Jenner. Where I grew up, we were always around each other, it just happened organically,” said Woods, whose late father worked on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and became close friends with Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. The Smith family acted as the intermediary, with their friendship with the Kardashians and Jenners leading to Jordyn and Kylie’s exposure to one another. “We were just all young kids, and you know what it’s like – everyone’s friends, everyone’s around, and you just build connections,” says Jordyn.

Following the news of the cheating scandal, Woods appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk, where she shared her side of the story and took full responsibility for her actions, with Woods receiving much more backlash online than Thompson.  “I may have done something wrong, but whatever I did, I don’t deserve this,” Woods told Pinkett Smith. “I know I’m not the reason Tristan and Khloe are not together.”

Alluding to the recent media circus around the cheating scandal and the resulting fallout with Jenner, Woods told Cosmo “Some people that I’m friends with, or that I was friends with as a child… some people just grow together, and some people don’t, you know?”

When the topic turned to Jenner specifically, Woods was candid about her feelings towards her former best friend. “I love her,” Jordyn said, referring to Kylie. “That’s my homie. I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier.”

The 21-year-old social media star added “A lot of people can be around when things are good, but you don’t know who’s really around until things are bad.”

Since the scandal broke, Woods has kept busy, booking her first acting role on Grown-ish and telling Cosmo that she plans on launching a YouTube beauty channel in the future.
