If the celeb sleuths are correct, Little Fires Everywhere star (or Dawson’s Creek star, if you’re old school) Joshua Jackson married his partner, Queen and Slim actor Jodie Turner-Smith, sometime last August. That’s when the pair were seen picking up marriage licences in LA, anyway. Now the couple is preparing for their second major life event in less than a year: the arrival of their first child… who’s due literally any day now, pandemic or no. Naturally, Jackson is a little bit worried about the timing of the birth.“Obviously, it’s a bit stressful right now and we’re just trying to figure out how to be smart about being quarantined,” said Jackson during a remote interview that aired on Good Morning America. “The medical system right now is a little bit difficult, so we’re figuring it out day by day. But she’s healthy and the baby’s healthy, so that’s important.”[video_embed id='1905429']RELATED: Jodie Turner-Smith doesn’t want to raise kids in America or the U.K.[/video_embed]Several weeks ago, when the actor’s latest TV project debuted, he posted a photo of himself and Turner-Smith settling in for some seriously cozy social distancing.
Jackson told GMA that his new co-stars, Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon, have been goldmines as sources for some much-needed first-time parenting advice: “Both of them were incredibly helpful,” he said. “Both of them are not just actresses, but they run their own companies. They’re both mothers. They’ve integrated their family life and their professional life in a way that seems very healthy.”Jackson ended his long-term relationship with fellow actor Diane Kruger back in 2016 and met Turner-Smith in 2018 at a charity benefit. The two have revealed that they’re expecting a little girl. “We are in the very, very home stretch,” he explained. “Everybody tells us that the first baby’s late so we’re probably 10-ish days away.”Baby business aside, let’s wrap this up with a full-length shot of the best maternity dress to ever rock a red carpet, the yellow Gucci garment Turner-Smith wore earlier this year to the BAFTAS. If this doesn’t bring a little sunshine to your day, nothing will.
