After surprising fans with a quickie engagement in July, Justin Bieber and fiancé Hailey Baldwin are now reportedly slowing down their wedding plans. The pair, who were rumoured to be getting married sometime this year, have reportedly decided to push the wedding off and enjoy being engaged. Cold feet or a sensible decision from two very young people in love?
The pair have had an on-and-off relationship for years, with Justin and Hailey dating in between Bieber’s time(s) with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. Now a source close to Bieber is saying that the pop star and model want to take things slow. The source told People Magazine, “They still don’t want a long engagement, but they are also not rushing the wedding.”
The young couple (Bieber is 24 and Baldwin is 21) have decided to put a pause on the wedding planning, but, don’t worry, they still plan on getting married. “It was getting quite intense and they realized they want to enjoy being engaged for a while,” says the source. “It’s not like they need to rush — they are both so young. They aren’t slowing things down though because they are unsure if they want to marry; they definitely want to get married.”
Justin appears to be very focused on family lately, with the Canadian singer filling his Instagram page with pictures of his mother and siblings, as well as Baldwin. On Thursday, Bieber shared a picture of the newest member of his family, Bay Bieber, the daughter of Justin’s dad Jeremy Bieber.
Bieber and Baldwin have been inseparable since announcing their engagement, with the pair photographed together in New York and Los Angeles. So many paparazzi photos. So many questionable outfits.
Hopefully, this move to slow down the wedding planning is a sign that Bieber and Baldwin are being mature about their future and taking their time to make sure marriage is definitely what they want. Now, if they could just do something about Bieber’s hair. It’s actually making us miss his early mop top.
