As Kanye West continues to struggle with his mental health, the rapper thankfully has a supportive group of friends and family around him. While dealing with what appears to be a bipolar episode that has been exacerbated by West’s unwillingness to take his medication, the Yeezy designer has been at his home in Wyoming where he’s been visited by friends like Dave Chapelle and Justin Bieber. In a new article by People, the magazine is reporting that Bieber was instrumental in helping West finally reach out to his wife, Kim Kardashian West.Bieber and his wife Hailey have been chronicling their summer road trip on social media, but the pair took a break from RV life to board a private plane and fly to Cody, Wyoming, where West has been living. "Justin wants to be supportive,” an insider told People. "Justin knows that Kanye has been making new music [in Cody] and appreciates how much pressure it is to produce new music." Bieber, who has been vocal about his own struggles with mental health, also knows how important it is for West to feel supported during this time. "Justin struggled for so long himself before he got proper help,” adds the source.West shared a picture of Bieber and record executive Damon Dash on July 24, the day the Biebers arrived at West’s home. According to People, Bieber’s visit included a discussion between himself and West about West’s relationship with Kardashian, which has recently endured a very public breakdown. On July 22, West sent a series of now-deleted tweets that accused Kardashian of cheating and of keeping the couple’s four children away from West. The rapper also alleged that he wanted to divorce his wife of six years and revealed private details about the birth of their daughter, North. One day after Bieber’s visit, West tweeted a public apology to Kardashian, writing “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”[video_embed id='2002951']RELATED: Kanye West tweets apology to his wife Kim Kardashian[/video_embed]A source close to the situation told People that Bieber encouraged West to speak to Kardashian, whom he had been avoiding. "Kanye didn't want to face Kim," said the source. "He doesn't mind having a public spectacle but he avoids conflict when he's like this. He knows he disappointed her and that kills him." After speaking with Bieber, West finally called Kardashian and the pair spoke on the phone.Kardashian flew to Wyoming earlier this week and had a tearful reunion with her husband, which was caught on camera by paparazzi. Kardashian has since returned to California to be with her children. Following West’s July 22 tweets, Kardashian released a statement about her husband on her Instagram stories and touched on his bipolar disorder. “I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health,” wrote Kardashian. “We as a society talk about giving grace to the issue of mental health as a whole, however we should also give it to the individuals who are living with it in times when they need it the most. I kindly ask that the media and public give us the compassion and empathy that is needed so that we can get through this.”[video_embed id='2001175']Before you go: A look at Kanye's mental health[/video_embed]
