Did you know that Justin Bieber has a new song? Did you know it's called "Yummy?" And did you know that 2020 is going to be all about the Biebs? If you didn't, then you obviously don't follow Justin on social media because he's been hammering it into fans' brains for the last few days that "Yummy" would be released at midnight on January 3.Over the last several weeks, Bieber has been hinting that something big was in store for us in 2020. The first three identical posts came on December 11th, featuring a pic of the year with no caption, yet that was enough to get people pumped. But that was just a tease, a whisper, a breadcrumb, if you will—and Beliebers wanted more. So Bieber obliged and by Christmas Eve, we knew there was a new track, album and tour, and on New Year's Eve, he revealed that a 10-part docu-series was also in the works. But today, the final date in Bieber's posts, we finally got to hear what he's been hyping over the last few days. "Yummy" is the first single from his upcoming fifth album, the hotly-anticipated follow-up to 2015's Purpose. And, well, it's pretty damn delicious as he pays tribute to his lady with some intimate lyrics.
"Rolling eyes back in my head, make my toes curl, yeah, yeah." Damn, Hailey. But it's the chorus that'll be burned in your brain all day. And if it's not, by tomorrow it will be because add one final date to your calendar. On January 4 at noon, the official music video will be released and if you're only going to watch it to get that swirling ice cream from the lyrics video out of your head, we feel you. (No, really, how tall is that cone anyway??)Now, if you were hoping Biebs was going to release something more meaningful or spiritual, he's promised that we'll get some of that on the album. "My past, my mistakes, all the things that I've been through, I believe that I'm right where I'm supposed to be and God has me right where he wants me," he said in the teaser video last week. "I feel like this is different than the previous albums just because of where I'm at in my life.""Yummy" is just the start from Bieber, the catchy kickoff that he hopes will the attention of everyone who's been waiting for nearly five years for his new album. And we don't know what the new album is called—but his new ink suggest that Forever is a front-runner—nor the exact release date, but with the official video out tomorrow, Seasons premiering on YouTube on January 27, and his tour kicking off in May, that might be more Bieber than fans have ever gotten in one sitting.
