We might be biased but we live in the greatest country on the planet and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Turns out, Justin Bieber is in the same mindset. The singer is ready to pack it in, give up life in the United States and come back to Canada. For good. The U.S. may have been the place where he became famous, met the love of his life and called home since 2008, but Canada is home. And sometimes, that’s all a person wants and needs.
“He wants to make his full-time home in Canada,” a source told Us Weekly. “He needs to get out of the L.A., NYC scene.”
Biebs has been in the States for a decade, skyrocketing to fame and fortune — and lots of trouble, too much to list. And therein lies his decision. The insider explains that all the attention over the years has been “overwhelming for him.”
Now the 24-year-old singer wants out of the public eye, and prepare for his marriage to Hailey Baldwin. “He’s trying to [ac]climatize [to] what a normal life should look like.” And there’s nothing more normal than living in Canada, apparently.
The source added: “He feels most at peace at home.” Well, home IS where the heart is, after all. And a move back to Canada, whether it’s Toronto or Stratford or somewhere else entirely, makes sense. It’s a big step but considering his vices, his friends, the way they all party, that entire toxic social scene, it’s a smart move. Hell, it’s a grown-up move.
The real question, though, is whether Hailey be OK living north of the border, away from her family and friends and the paparazzi. It’s a big ask. But if they truly are committed to one another, and there are no ultimatums involved, then sure, they can make it work. It’s not like they can’t go back and forth. If Baldwin isn’t down with Bieber’s decision, it could be the very thing that breaks them up.
Whatever the case, if it’s a more subdued life Justin wants, hopefully he can get it. As long as he leaves the pornstache in the States. They can keep that.
