Get your tissues and timeline cheat-sheets ready, because This is Us has officially returned. And while Season 4 is gonna turn us into blubbering wrecks every Tuesday night, there’s one thing we can count on to put a smile back on our puffy-eyed faces, and that thing is Justin Hartley (*swoon*).The This is Us star dropped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET) last night to remind us that there's a strict 10 YEAR spoilers embargo on all things Pearson. If you thought “handsome” and “charming” were Justin's best character traits, you can go ahead and add “loyal” as well—that boy was spilling no goss on what’s going to happen throughout the fourth season (respect, but we're dying for details on those new faces in the premiere!).But alas, the spoiler rules are back on and that means we’ll have to wait with bated breath each week to find out what happens to our beloved Pearson family.Anyone who’s been watching the show for a while now should be used to this though, because Justin has always had sealed lips when it comes to dropping hints. He does, however, assure us that we’re "gonna love it for years to come." Like we ever doubted it.
While spoilers were off the table, there was a certain subject that Justin was totally okay with (if not slightly uncomfortable) talking about—the hell that is fathers watching their teenage daughters dating.First of all, raise your hand if you were capital S shocked to find out that this ageless Adonis has a 15-year old daughter. Yup, us too.Secondly, we feel genuinely sorry for anyone who tries to date this girl because with a dad like Justin, they have some serious standards to live up to. Justin told Jimmy that he basically won't let his daughter settle for anyone less than himself... but he also doesn't want her dating someone like him at that age. Ah, how complex and horrifying is to be a parent. While Isabella’s out there in the dating world, we’ll be here, with our tissues ready, waiting to see what our fave TV family gets up to next week. You can catch This is Us Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on CTV.
