Justin Timberlake got emotional during his Hall of Fame induction
After being introduced by close friend Jimmy Fallon, JT gave a sweet, heartfelt speech upon his induction into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame on Saturday.
“This is the f*cking coolest thing that has ever happened to me,” said Timberlake, who began to choke up. “I wanna thank all the great artists in this hall. I’m truly honored to merely stand on the shoulders of all these legends I grew up listening to, and I grew up admiring, to say that I stand alongside them now.”
Justin thanked wife Jessica Biel, who he called his “rock” and described her as “beautiful, loving and incredibly understanding.” He added: “Baby, I love you more than I could put into words and more than any song I could ever write.”
Congrats Justin. And Jessica. Because with sentiments like that, who could ask for anything more? Though Jimmy does give her a run for her money.
Lamar’s condition is improving
For much of last week, things were looking grim for Lamar Odom. He was in a coma for four days and it was just a bad situation. But with estranged wife Khloe Kardashian by his side, along with his kids, his dad and the K klan rallying around Odom, he came out of his coma Friday afternoon and has been off the ventilator and breathing on his own since. Lamar’s been getting kisses from Khloe, and Kim and Kendall have been making him laugh. He’s not out of the woods yet but considering where we were five days ago, this is nothing but good news.
Doctors are still concerned because his kidneys are failing (he’s is undergoing dialysis) and while he hasn’t said much, he has been responsive to questions, which seems to indicate that he’s doing well from a neurological standpoint. His condition is promising but the recovery could take a long time, with months of physical and speech therapy.
And we have no doubt that Khloe and the rest of the Kardashians will welcome him back with open, unjudge-y arms and support him through it all.
I have faith in you. I believe in the power of prayer and positive energy! Thank you all for your prayers! Lammy- I’m so happy Kendall & I could make you smile today! God is good! A photo posted by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on
Tracy Morgan returned home
Even if this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live wasn’t going to be good, it would still be great — because Tracy was hosting. The fact that he appeared at all was a win for everyone but thankfully the quality of the 90 minutes measured up and it was the perfect way for him to show the world that he is back.
Morgan’s monologue turned into a 30 Rock reunion, bringing his former co-stars Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer back for a spoof of the NBC sitcom. We got to see Brian Fellow and Astronaut Jones and while Larry David may have stolen some of the show with his bang-on Bernie Sanders impression, Tracy was the focus.
Welcome back, Tracy! He’s still got it.
JWoww is married
If you watched Jersey Shore, then you know that the only couple that had a shot was Jenni and Roger. Sure, Snooki and Jionni got married and are still together (albeit sleeping in separate beds) but JWoww and Roger just seemed… normal.
So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the longtime lovebirds, who got engaged three years ago, made it official on Sunday.
“By far one of the best days of our lives outside Meilani being born,” the couple said in a statement to E! News. “So blessed to have our daughter share this day with us!”
Her Jersey Shore co-stars, Snooki, Sammi and Deena were bridesmaids while JWoww and Roger’s 15-month-old daughter, Meilani, was a flower girl.
Jenni also reportedly revealed during the reception that she’s expecting their second child. Ahh, proof that you can come out of the Shore and have it all. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Gwen Stefani’s new single is probably about ex Gavin Rossdale
We may adore her on The Voice, we may love her fashion labels but first and foremost, Gwen is a singer. And she just debuted her upcoming single during a concert in NYC on Saturday. The title of the song: “Used to Love You.” Hmm. “I just want to share a song that I wrote recently,” Stefani told fans before her performance. “This song is really special.” Some of the lyrics include, “I thought I was the best thing that ever happened to you” and “I guess nobody taught you how to love.” Gulp. Uh, what’s up, Gavin?
Brangelina have issues
They might look like they have it all but Angelina opens up about marriage to Brad, admitting to Vogue magazine that they have “their issues.” But they still make it work, whether they’re filming a movie together or raising their children. Yep, still perfect.
