Fatherhood changes a man, even if he happens to be a famous one who’s still dropping albums. And starring in movies. And basically being the guy that is Justin Timberlake.
The star appeared on a New York morning radio show recently in order to discuss his music and all things fatherhood, and it seemed as though nothing was off the table. Including his son’s bowel movements.
In one of the most candid ways we’ve heard poop described yet, JT admitted that he looks at “everything differently now” and that “having a little man in the house changes everything.” And yep, that includes fecal matter.
“When I used to clean up my dog’s poop, it was like it was a science project; I wouldn’t get very close to it,” he said. When you have a kid and there’s poop, you got to get in there! Nothing trumps your kid’s butt cleanliness, so you just have to get in there!”
Sounds like the latter is actually more of a science project, JT — you’re now fully dissecting what’s going on.
All we know is that JT hit something on the head that most parents have thought for years: who remembers life before their kids anyhow? We’re not sure, but talking poop was probably not among the highlights.
“All I know is I don’t know what the hell I did before.”
“Here’s what I’ll say — all I know is I don’t know what the hell I did before. It’s an extremely humbling experience, and I’ve never had more poop on my person!” he added.
The singer has certainly had some time to settle into the role by now at least — poop and all. Hard to believe, but his and Jessica Biel’s son, Silas, is already 13 months old. Which means now that he’s got a year of parenting under his belt he’s poised to work on another album.
Like there was any doubt after he released the single, “Can’t Stop that Feeling” — the singer’s first new song in three years, from the Trolls soundtrack. The good news is that now he’s finally confirmed a full album is on the way… at some point.
“I don’t know exactly when I’m going to put it out but yeah, I’m definitely working on a new album,” Timberlake also revealed in the interview.
Here’s hoping he’ll be able to put poop out of his head long enough to get into that recording studio.
