It’s been a really, really, really rough few weeks for Kanye West. At this point, we’d be surprised if anyone in his camp is supporting his oh-so-public cries for attention. What with his begging for money from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, throwing Taylor Swift under the bus and the controversial release of Yeezy Season 3, it seems as though things have been stressful for the artist. And right in the middle of his latest album release to boot.
So, colour us not-so-shocked at the fact that during West’s latest publicity campaign — a performance on Saturday Night Live – he flew off the handle again. This time backstage, and of course it was all caught on tape. Now, surprise, the audio has leaked via Page Six.
In the foul-language laden post, West can be heard complaining about the stage change during the show itself, saying he was bummed that they did so without asking him. He was also bummed about Taylor Swift: “Fake a—” were his choice words for the performer, to be precise.
The tape supports the earlier rumours that West had threatened to walk off the show after staff switched out the shiny flooring on his stage because it was reflecting poorly with the stage lights and causing confusion.
“Don’t f— with me,” he can be heard repeating over and over in the recording, in which he also claims to be 50 per cent more influential than the likes of Pablo Escobar, Pablo Picasso, Stanley Kubrick and Apostle Paul.
At this point, we’d like to suggest a nice, long vacay for the artist. It can only do him some good, no?
Seems like even Kim might agree:
