Kanye West isn’t always the most relatable artist. We cringe when he storms award show stages, we scratch our heads when he sells his sneakers for $225, and we try to not let his constant proclamations that he is a ‘genius’ deter our love for College Dropout. But now, West has a released a poem about his love for McDonald’s and we are lovin’ it.
In conjunction with the release of his two new albums this past weekend, musician Frank Ocean also uploaded an online zine to his website, which included West’s poem, “The McDonald’s Man.”
In the poem (and there’s more, trust us), West writes:
Them French fries look good tho
I knew the diet Coke was jealous of the fries
I knew the McNuggets was jealous of the fries
Even the McRib was jealous of the fries
I could see it through his artificial meat eyes
And he only be there some of the time
Everybody was jealous of them French fries
Except for that one special guy
That smooth apple pie
McDonalds damn, indeed. It kinda feels like something Robert Frost would have written if he lived in the 21st century, amirite?

Not since Justin Timberlake and Timbaland‘s 2009 ode to fast food in “Carry Out” have we heard lyrics that are so deliciously influenced by the munchies. Sorry, but the desire for a delicious, balanced meal…that’s really good around 2 a.m.
Of course, there are many who feel the same way as West regarding his love of McDonald’s fries, those little yellow sticks that are like salty pieces of heaven.
Drake has often spoken about his respect for West and now it appears that the two agree on more than just dope rhymes. They also love dope fries.
James Franco loves fries.
Uncomfortably seductive (must be the fries) young Justin Bieber loves fries.
Jennifer Lawrence loves fries.
This T-Rex (and we assume all dinosaurs) loves fries.
Anderson Cooper *really* loves fries.
Even health spokesperson Gwyneth Paltrow loves fries.
And of course we can’t forget Mrs. West, Kim Kardashian. A booty built on salads alone does not become legendary.
Unfortunately, West’s latest poem may signal trouble in paradise for the rapper and his wife, who posted this Snapchat of herself enjoying In-N-Out Burger fries last night, not McDonald’s. Let the (McDonald’s) beef begin.
