There was no shortage of beauty at the world premier of the newest James Bond film, Spectre, at Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday night. A fashionable procession of celebrities, including Bond girls Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris and Monica Bellucci, provided ample target for the event photographers, but the guest for whom the cameras flashed brightest was not a Bond girl at all, even if she did look a bit like one.
Kate Middleton absolutely stole the spotlight with a pale blue, open-backed, floor-length chiffon gown that was just the right amount of see through…you know, for a Princess.
The Duchess of Cambridge stepped onto the red carpet looking striking, sexy and regal at once, in a bespoke gown by evening wear designer Jenny Packham (one of her favs), which she cinched with a crystal embellished belt for a look that accentuated her curves and reminded us of Eva Green’s character Vesper Lynd from Casino Royale, one of the greatest Bond girls of all time.
Matching her bejewelled belt was a pair of her mother’s blue topaz and diamond Robinson Pelham drop earrings (which we recall from the royal wedding reception in 2011), and a silver Casa clutch, also by Jenny Packham.
