Take that, ABC
Over the last 15 years on Live!, Kelly Ripa has often gone on vacation and had guest hosts fill in for her. But this last week has been a different kind of holiday. While many reports have said her vacation was “previously scheduled,” it seemed a little suspicious that it coincided with the shocking announcement that Michael Strahan was leaving the show at the end of the season and moving on to Good Morning America. Kelly, as well as executive producer Michael Gelman, only found out moments before the official announcement and she needed some time to take it all in. So whether her vacation time started early or on time, can anyone blame her for skipping out on the show?
There was speculation that Kelly wouldn’t return at all after the blindside but according to Entertainment Weekly, Ripa reached out to the show’s staff on Friday via email and told them she would be back.
“I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information,” Ripa wrote in the email. “Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me. We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning.”
Um, anyone else predicting that Tuesday’s show will be one of the highest-rated in a long time? We can’t wait.
Sound the alarm, Beyoncé drops new album Lemonade
With Bey’s HBO special, Lemonade, airing on HBO Saturday night, it only made perfect marketing sense that the singer would release a record of the same name that same night. Lemonade debuted exclusively on her husband’s Tidal, marking her sixth album.
Described as “a conceptual project based on every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing,” it features 12 songs and guests artists The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Jack White and James Blake. Her song “Formation,” which she debuted at the Super Bowl halftime show, is the last track on the record. Speaking of, the Formation World Tour kicks off in Miami on Wednesday and runs through July so the timing of all of this really shouldn’t have surprised anyone.
Royals wearing teal headbands is pretty perfect
Will, Kate and Harry are spearheading a new campaign to end stigma around mental health. Called Heads Together, the royal foundation teams up with a group of mental health charities to raise awareness of mental illnesses and the resources available for those who need help.
The royals joined runners and supporters at the end of a run in support of the campaign in a new video.

“Mental health is just as important as physical health,” says Kate.
“We all play our part by talking and listening to each other and helping each other find support,” Harry adds.
“Let’s get our heads together and change the conversation on mental health,” concludes William.
But it’s the photo shoot at the end, with Will, Kate and Harry wearing the team headbands in support, that is all kinds of adorable. While trying to pose for a “serious” shot, Kate just can’t keep a straight face. Awesome.
Jimmy Fallon hosted an SNL special dedicated to Prince
Instead of a rerun, Saturday Night Live dedicated this past Saturday’s show to a tribute to Prince, his life and his performances on the show. The special episode was hosted by Jimmy Fallon, who called the singer “a special presence” on SNL for the last four decades.
There was his first appearance in 1981 (before Purple Rain) when he played “Party Up,” his riveting performance of “Electric Chair” in 1989, not to mention in 2006 when he knocked out several of his biggest hits including “Fury” and “Beautiful, Loved & Blessed.” And who could forget that eight-minute medley he rocked in 2014?
“Times have changed, styles have come and gone, but no matter what, Prince has never not been cool,” said Fallon.
The special also aired Prince’s never-before-seen surprise performance during an after-party following the show’s 40th anniversary special in February 2015. It was Fallon that called out to the crowded room, “Prince, if you’re in the room, I dare you to come up and sing something with us.”
And Prince accepted, took the stage, handing Fallon his gloves before he began to play.
“He got up and it was unbelievable,” Fallon said. “He just destroyed.” And we’re still destroyed.
The haters have come out in full force for new mom Chrissy Teigen
Whether it’s a photo on Instagram or paparazzi shots of her and John Legend going out for dinner, Chrissy Teigen can’t catch a break.
When photos surfaced of the two going out for dinner on Saturday, many people took to criticizing the parents for stepping out a week after Luna’s birth.
“That spotlight pull be strong. One week. Who wants to leave a one week old baby to go to a bar?” one follower wrote, according to E! Online. Another user added, “Yeah they could have ordered in…But it’s like a competition with these self-absorbed celebs.”
And that first photo Chrissy shared of Luna? Some people commented on the pic as a way for the model to show off her boobs and, well, that just sucks.
Chrissy, in her usually funny and sassy way, took to Twitter to tackle the haters.
“How’s baby Luna?”
i dunno i can’t find her https://t.co/fEj8rFHEMI

Enough with the judgment, people. Perhaps the only thing some parents might have to say is how jealous they are that Luna is sleeping enough that the new parents could go out for a couple of hours. Lucky!
