The Star Wars franchise is a fandom unlike any, so you have to know what you’re getting into if you’re going to do anything inspired by it. Looks like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber didn’t quite get the memo when they agreed to do a themed shoot for Harper’s Bazaar in collaboration with Star Wars illustrator Brian Rood. Internet was not amused.

Here’s a teaser.
First, we have Kaia somehow surviving Hoth’s icy temperatures in a gold Vera Wang gown.
Next, we have everyone’s favourite fashion model sisters, Bella and Gigi, departing from the Millennium Falcon.
Finally, the pièce de résistance is Kendall Jenner, working a lightsaber and wearing Missoni as one does.
How did the good people of Twitter respond to this Alderaanian high fashion mash up?

I feel personally attacked tbh. Carrie Fisher did not die for our sins to be insulted like this pic.twitter.com/YJIak74hC8

And so on and so forth. In the wise words of Yoda, “Do. Or do not. There is no try.” Guess this was a do not?
