This week’s episode of Keeping Up focused quite a bit on Khloe’s past with Lamar Odom that saw the pair stayed married for over five years after a very quick engagement back in 2009. But loyal fans of the show, and most of the world, know how that ended. Khloe’s record with professional basketball players has been rough—like beloved matriarch MJ pointed out after the Tristan fallout, she needs to find another type. But for many years, Khloe and Lamar had a seemingly perfect relationship. It wasn’t until his addiction issues started to overtake his life that Khloe decided to end it, and even then, it took her quite some time to come to terms with it. She hid the entire situation from her family for a long time before it became public knowledge and she had no choice but to talk about what was really going on.Post-breakup she maintained a close relationship with Odom for a time, particularly when he overdosed in a Vegas brothel and almost died—staying at his bedside until he healed. It was a classy moment that truly showed just how much she loved him, even if the relationship wasn’t going to work. Many fans thought there could be a time when the pair reunite, but tonight’s episode proved that it won't be anytime soon. With Lamar’s tell-all book Darkness to Light coming out, Khloe was curious to see what he might have to say about their relationship and her family—but he played nice and noted that he should have apologized to her and her family for how he treated her. After some texts and phone calls between the pair, the first since his overdose, Khloe seemed to be open to meeting up with him again and noted that she will always love him."I miss him all the time but not in a place that I want to get back with him," Khloe said. "He called me and was like, 'I just knew we were all going to talk again at some point. I'm just so happy.' He was like, 'I would love to see you. I've been dying to see you in person. I just feel like we have so much to talk about.'"
Once she realized he had a girlfriend, she made the call not to potentially add to any drama to the situation (case in point: the heat she got for the Tristan hook-up), making her decision a quick and easy pass. While Kim and Kourtney both thought it might be good for her to see Lamar again and get some closure, she was probably wise to choose otherwise for the time being. As Khloe astutely said in the episode, "The past is the past for a reason sometimes."Watch Keeping up With the Kardashians Sunday nights at 9pmET on E![video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Khloe Kardashian's secrets to having good days[/video_embed]
