Kim and Kanye celebrated their 5-year anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony

Last night’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians was packed with surprises. Kim and Kanye’s fourth child was welcomed into to the Kardashian world and there was a sweet vow renewal ceremony for Kim and Kanye.After Psalm’s birth went smoothly—a previous episode hinted that the surrogate would have a difficult breech birth but all was fine—Kim and Kanye celebrated five years of marriage with a vow renewal ceremony. While Kim was trying to plan the event to surprise Kanye for once, she soon realized he was, of course, already planning something of his own. Once Kim let him know she was up to something, he let her go through with her plans instead. Though in true Kanye style, it was not allowed to be filmed for the show—just as their wedding wasn’t. But we instead witnessed Kim telling Saint their engagement story and practicing her vows—this time words she wrote herself—on her eldest son.

Thinking back to Kim’s previous shorter marriages, five years is certainly something worth celebrating. Especially considering all they’ve been through in that time—four kids, a terrifying robbery, mental health struggles and what amounted to a complete rebrand of Kim by Kanye early on into the pairing—it’s fairly incredible to see them still together and stronger than ever. In the beginning, it seemed like it was up to Kim to change for him, but in recent years she’s taken a more dominant role and Kanye has had to acquiesce more than he once did (which we saw during last week's episode when she stood up to him during his Met Gala "too sexy" dress shaming).So will four kids be enough for the dedicated couple? Kim says she’s fulfilled and done with having any more, but if it were up to Kanye, they would have seven, in keeping with his biblical aspirations. When you have as much money, and help, as this pair, you are certainly better equipped to give them a great life—but there are only so many hours in a day.
