As this season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians comes closer to an end, the family is taking a look at its own future on the long-running show. In recent years, Kourtney hasn’t filmed her personal life nearly as much as she used to when she was with ex Scott—and her sisters aren’t too happy about it. To make matters worse, Mama Kris has taken a backseat on filming as well—leaving Kim and Khloe to pick up their slack. Khloe’s personal life has taken over lately, with everyone scrutinizing every moment of her doomed relationship with Tristan. Kim doesn’t show a lot of her personal life with Kanye and her kids, but they are still visible at times, and she allows the cameras to follow all her career moves be it with SKIMS, her beauty line or her law career. There’s no doubt these two have been carrying the show these past few seasons, and anyone can understand why they would be frustrated when Kourtney seems to be shutting down and allowing cameras to capture her life  less and less. So on Sunday's episode when Kim suggests she should be fired, Kourtney is livid. This week’s installment of KUWTK was fascinating because it basically looked inward at the show itself—we saw the cameras more, and flashbacks showed just how much they all have shared with the world over the years, especially Kourtney who in the early years shared her ups and downs with Scott and even the birth of her children without hesitation.

You're the fans, so is this report accurate? ? A new episode of #KUWTK is tonight on E!

When she talks about how destructive it was to share her problems with Scott over all those years, it is easy to have empathy for Kourtney's need for privacy these days. She really did share everything, and the scrutiny of having your unhealthy relationship on blast takes quite a toll, as Khloe experienced this year. Kourtney noted the strangeness of living your life on camera, then having to sit for interviews and relive traumatic moments again, and then having the episode air so the world can comment on it and be forced to relive it for a third time.Of course, Kourtney signed up for the show, and if she wants to be a part of it—is it fair that she have so many boundaries? As Kim said, how can there be a show if they’re not sharing their lives? If Kourtney doesn’t enjoy it, maybe it is time for her to say goodbye? The big question we’re left with after this episode, though—why isn’t anyone mentioning Kylie and Kendall? They are rarely seen in episodes, so are they off the hook? Rob also stopped filming many years ago without issue, but the difference is that he’s probably not on the payroll anymore either. We'll definitely be watching to see how this all shakes out.Watch Keeping up With the Kardashians Sunday nights at 9pmET on E![video_embed id='5972261722001']RELATED: Kourtney Kardashian says she loves to be naked at home[/video_embed]
