Kim Kardashian‘s social media savvy is incomparable. She’s a whiz at getting — and maintaining — the public’s attention whether it’s through a blog post, an Instagram selfie or her butt on the cover of a magazine. So it makes perfect sense that she’d be giving a lecture about the objectification of women.
Uhhhh. Back up. What did we just write?
Kim Kardashian West Live! takes place at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, Calif., on Tuesday, June 30. The event is hosted by INFORUM, whose website says it hopes to “create meaningful conversations around things that matter.”
They describe Kardashian as “the first lady of #fame,” a sort of superwoman who has “taken everything that is modern day society – from selfies to self-promotion to sexuality – embraced it, monetized it.”
Yep, she’s their gal!
So naturally Kim will also dish on her new book, Selfish, talk about the Kardashian/Jenner family, the business of millennial culture, the objectification of women in media, and more. Hmm, sounds questionable but we suppose if her butt can break the Internet, she’s more than qualified to comment about women being objectified in the media.
If you’re going to own, own it like a Kardashian we guess.
