Kim Kardashian West made an all too short comeback to social media this week. The 36-year-old has been MIA on all platforms after being held at gun-point and robbed in Paris last month. We get it, we would be taking a social media hiatus, too.
But she broke the silence on Monday night, posting a snap of herself holding a smartphone (with her fav archaic Blackberry in her lap) to Facebook, adding the caption “Downtime #LumeeCollab.”
Two other posts were also made to her Facebook account yesterday, both Halloween-related links to stories on her website kimkardashianwest.com.
But…if you go to Kim’s Facebook page, you won’t be able to see any of these posts, because they’ve already been removed. Talk about a flip flop.
We’ve all deleted posts for some reason or another—maybe we didn’t want our new employers to see how great we were at Flip Cup in college, or realized that rant about our ex was a bit #inapprop—but this photo already had over 200,000 Likes before it was pulled. The image is already out there, Kim, even if you delete it.
We’re not sure what’s going on over in Kim K’s media machine, but we bet it’s something. Imagine the conversation that took place between her PR and her security:
PR: “Have you seen the engagement on Kim’s Facebook post? It’s great to be back!”
Security: “Did you say Facebook? SHUT IT DOWN! EVERYBODY, MOVE! MOVE! MOVE! DELETE THAT POST! DELETE THAT POST!!!”
Or maybe they’re just editing the photo, putting a more Kardashian-y filter on it or something. Anyway, we’ll definitely be watching all of her accounts for more signs of life.
